Romantic Winery Wedding in the Rain

We are happy to share a gallery from a romantic winery wedding that we photographed on a rainy summer day. Every wedding has its own character, and every kind of weather brings a different atmosphere.

Actually not only on wedding photoshoots but also during engagements and couple sessions rain is something to play with. It’s in our regular days when the rain can disrupt the schedule, but for a wedding photo session it’s a chance to photograph moments when people are hiding from it or running or having any fun moment connected to it. Even in our culture its typical to connect rain with something dramatic or romantic even, so we think sometimes it can only enhance everything and make it more emotional.

The day of the wedding started with the ceremony at a registry office in 16th district. We would recommend this Standesamt, if you’re planning to have your ceremony at a registry office, as that is one among the most beautiful ones in Vienna. The interior is much better than the main Standesamt in the 9th district.

After the ceremony we have moved from the registry office to a heuriger on the hills below kahlenberg

We love these moments that really show the character of a person in the most genuine way. For the context, it’s not just a silly photo idea, it’s the bride covering her head from the light rain, that was drizzling all day, while waiting for a taxi. These moments make a fun and nice addition to the gallery.

While we continued to celebrate, it was raining on and off and we tried to catch a moment for a short wedding photoshoot as the location on the hills is absolutely stunning and we wanted to do it exactly there. It wasn’t possible to have a 1 hour long photoshoot but we found the moment when it wasn’t raining so heavily and went outside for our wedding session.
